By Holly L Schippers
We brought our baby home Little hands and little feet We carried her in together The tears at night We brought our baby home Now we lay her down to rest Lay her down gently Our baby is at home |

Caitlin Grace was a miracle baby, conceived in spite of an infertility diagnosis and PCOS. At 18 weeks 2 days Caitlin's heart stopped, she has trisonomy 21 (Downs Syndrome). One in four hundred and fifty couples that are genetically normal will have a child with trisonomy 21. Caitlin was born August 31, 2005. She never took a breath outside the womb but the miracle of her life taught us more about hope and love than we ever could have imagined. She will always be a part of us and we will never forget. |
